Jami & Terry McKinley

Our story

At Ammons Apothecary, our journey began with a simple plan to dig a pond on our family property in Fulton, Alabama. What we discovered underground was more than just the foundation for a pond—it was nature’s hidden treasure: an abundant supply of pure blue clay.

For Jami Ammons McKinley, the owner and heart behind Ammons Apothecary, this wasn’t just any discovery. Jami had long heard about the remarkable natural properties of blue clay, known for its ability to soothe skin, promote hair growth, and relieve irritation. With curiosity and a love for natural remedies, she began experimenting with the clay, using it on herself and her family. The results were transformative.

Realizing she had stumbled upon a lifetime's supply of this incredible natural resource, Jami felt a deep calling to share it—not just with her family but with her friends, neighbors, and community. Together with her husband, Terry, and her father, Gordon, Jami set out to bring this gift of nature to others. Every jar of blue clay is lovingly collected, mixed, and packaged by hand right here on their property in Fulton, ensuring the utmost purity and care in every step of the process.

What started as a family project has grown into something much greater—a way to connect with others through the healing power of nature. At Ammons Apothecary, we believe in keeping things simple, pure, and honest, just as nature intended. It’s our joy to share the gift of blue clay with you, straight from our land to your hands.

Harvested with Care.
